Common questions
Which fields end up inside the vCard QR code?
The full name always, written as the FN line. Phone is stored as a mobile number, and email, organization, job title, and website each get their own vCard line when filled. Anything left blank is dropped entirely, keeping the payload compact.
Why does the vCard QR preview wait for a name?
FN is the one mandatory property in the vCard spec; without it, phones have no label to file the contact under. So the tool holds off rendering until the Full name field contains something.
Will iPhone and Android both read this contact QR code?
Yes. Native camera apps on both platforms have parsed vCard payloads for years, showing an add contact prompt right after the scan. That broad support is exactly why the tool emits version 3.0 rather than the newer 4.0.
How much should I pack into a business card qr code?
