Common questions
Where does this da pa checker get its authority numbers?
From the Open PageRank API by DomCop, which scores domains 0 to 100 using link data from the Common Crawl project. It's free and open, unlike Moz's index, and the tool is upfront about that difference.
Will the authority score match my Moz DA exactly?
No. DA is Moz's proprietary metric computed from Moz's own crawl, so the two datasets disagree on individual sites. The numbers usually land in the same neighborhood and sort a list of domains in a similar order, which is what bulk screening needs.
How many URLs can I check da pa online for at once?
Up to 1000 per run. Turn on Exclude Same Domain so fifty pages from one blog collapse into a single row, then export the finished table back to Excel or CSV.
Does Google use DA or PA in its ranking algorithm?
No. DA and PA are third-party estimates invented by Moz, and the authority score here is a third-party estimate too. Google has repeatedly said it uses no site-wide authority score of this kind, so treat these numbers as comparative shorthand between sites.
What counts as a good score in a website authority checker?
Context decides. A niche local business at 25 can be perfectly healthy while a national publisher at 45 is underperforming. Compare against direct competitors in the results grid instead of chasing a universal number.
Why would a domain return No data instead of a score?
Open PageRank only scores domains present in its crawl. Very new sites, tiny sites, and deindexed domains may not be there yet. A No data result isn't a zero; it's an absence of measurement.
Is Page Authority available for individual URLs here?
Not from this data source. Scores are domain level, so every page on a site shares one authority number. True page-level PA and Spam Score are Moz products that require a paid API key.
