Does it detect an llms-full.txt file too?
Yes. When a site also publishes llms-full.txt, the fuller variant that inlines page content, the validator notes it. That tells you whether crawlers have access to the expanded version or only the short index.
Why do the links inside my llms.txt matter?
The whole point of the file is to route AI crawlers to the right pages. A link that 404s sends them nowhere, so the validator fetches each one and flags broken targets. Fixing those is usually the highest-value change the report surfaces.
Is my file uploaded or stored when I validate it?
No. The tool fetches the file for the single check and returns the result. Nothing is stored, and there is no sign up, so validating a private staging URL or pasted draft is safe.
