Image Watermark

For a single corner mark, 30 to 50 percent is usually enough to read without wrecking the image. Tiled watermarks can drop lower, around 20 to 35 percent, because repetition does the protecting. The slider here runs from 10 to 100, so you can test against your actual photo in the preview.

The watermark here is text-based, so there's no image upload for a graphic logo. If your logo is a wordmark, typing the same name gets you most of the way. For a pictorial logo you'd composite it in an image editor, then use this tool for the text layer.

Corners are the easiest to crop out. If theft is a real concern, use middle center or tick Tile diagonally, which repeats the mark across the entire frame at an angle. Tiling is the standard approach for client proofs precisely because no crop survives it.

Yes, the image is redrawn on a canvas and re-encoded in its original format, so a JPG goes through one more compression pass. At normal quality settings the difference isn't visible, but always keep your clean originals and treat watermarked exports as distribution copies.

It's a deterrent and an attribution signal, not enforcement. Copyright exists whether or not you watermark photo online copies, but a visible mark discourages casual reuse and makes ownership obvious in screenshots. Keep originals with intact metadata as your actual evidence trail.

White text at partial opacity has almost no contrast against sky, snow, or white studio backgrounds. Switch the Color to a dark gray or black for bright images, raise the opacity slightly, or move the Position to a darker region of the frame.
