Tap an aspect ratio button (Free, 1:1, 4:3, 16:9, 9:16, or 3:2), then adjust the X, Y, W, and H percentage fields to position the box precisely.

Press Crop. Your file downloads with a -cropped suffix on the name, and a batch of images lands as cropped-images.zip with the identical region cut from each one.

Common questions
How do the X, Y, W, and H fields control the crop?
X and Y set the top-left corner of the region as a percentage of the image, and W and H set its width and height the same way. Percentages make the crop portable, so 25 percent in from the left means the same relative spot on any photo.
What aspect ratio should I crop to for social platforms?
Square 1:1 suits profile pictures and grid posts, 9:16 fits stories and vertical video covers, and 16:9 matches YouTube thumbnails and widescreen banners. The 4:3 and 3:2 presets mirror the native shapes of phone and DSLR sensors.
Does cropping lower the quality of the pixels that remain?
The kept region is copied straight onto a new canvas, so those pixels aren't resampled. JPG files pass through one re-encode on save, which is normal for any editor, but there's no scaling involved.
Why does pressing a ratio button change my H value?
The tool keeps your chosen width and recalculates height so the region matches the ratio using the photo's real pixel dimensions. On a 4032x3024 image, a 1:1 press with W at 75 percent pushes H to 100 percent, since 75 percent of the width equals the full height.
Can I crop photo free of any signup or file limit?
Yes, there's no account and no quota. Because the work happens on your own device, there's nothing to meter. Large files just depend on your machine's memory.
How do I crop image to size for a passport or ID photo?
Get the ratio right here first, then handle exact dimensions in a second step. For official documents the dedicated Passport Photo Maker is quicker, since it bakes in standard sizes like 35x45 mm.
Is the same crop region used for every image in a bulk run?
Yes. The percentage bounds are applied to each file individually, so the region lands in the same relative position even when the images have different pixel sizes. Keep batches to photos with similar framing for predictable results.
