Organize PDF

Scan a stack of double sided sheets on a single sided feeder and you get all the fronts first, then all the backs in reverse. This organize pdf tool untangles that. Load the file and every page appears as a thumbnail with two labels: its slot in the new sequence and its original position. Click the left and right arrows to rearrange pdf pages, duplicate any page, drop the ones you don't need, or hit Reverse all to flip the entire document. When the tray looks right, Apply & download writes a new file with -organized added to the name. Nothing uploads along the way, so it's safe for the kind of paperwork you'd never hand to an unknown website.

How to use

01

Load your PDF

Drop the file on the uploader. The page tray fills with thumbnails, and each one carries a badge showing its slot number next to the original page it came from.

02

Rework the sequence

Use the left and right chevrons under a thumbnail to shift it, the copy button to duplicate it, or the X in the corner to pull it out of the order entirely.

03

Apply and download

Check the header, which compares pages in source against pages in the new order, then click Apply & download to save yourfile-organized.pdf.

Why Organize PDF

Common questions

How do I fix a double sided scan that came out in the wrong order?
A single sided feeder typically gives you fronts 1, 3, 5 followed by backs in reverse, like 6, 4, 2. Use the orig badge on each thumbnail to identify what you're looking at, then shift pages with the chevrons until the sequence reads 1 through 6. For long documents, Reverse all on the back half first saves a lot of clicking.
Can I reorder pdf pages online without installing anything?
Yes, this runs as a plain web page with no extension, plugin, or desktop install. The rearranging and the final save both happen inside your browser. It works the same on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
What does the orig label on each thumbnail mean while organizing?
Each slot badge shows two numbers: the bold one is the page's position in your new sequence, and orig N is where that page sat in the uploaded file. The orig number never changes, which makes it your anchor when several pages look alike.
Is duplicating a page possible while rearranging a document?
Yes. The copy button under any thumbnail inserts a second instance of that page right after the first, and the header count goes up by one. People use it to repeat a form page or a separator sheet several times in one output.
Does reordering pages upload my file anywhere?
No. Thumbnails are rendered locally and the reordered copy is assembled with pdf-lib in the same tab, so the document stays on your device. That's worth knowing when the scan contains HR forms or signed agreements.
Why does the header show fewer pages in the new order than in the source?
Because you removed pages from the tray, and removed pages are excluded from the output. The header reading something like 12 pages in source, 10 in the new order is your warning before downloading. Hit Reset to restore the original sequence and count.
Which button reverses the whole page order at once?
Reverse all, in the toolbar next to Reset. It flips the entire sequence in one click, which is the fix when a scanner emitted the document back to front. To move pdf pages individually afterward, use the chevrons under each thumbnail.
