How to use

Upload the PDF
Drag any PDF up to 100 MB onto the upload area. The file loads locally through pdf.js and its name appears above the conversion controls.

Set the Scale slider
Choose between 1x and 4x in half steps. 1x renders at a 72 DPI equivalent, 2x suits screens and social posts, and 4x approaches print sharpness.

Click Convert & download ZIP. A progress bar tracks the pages as they render, then a ZIP named after your PDF arrives containing page-001.jpg onward.

Common questions
What Scale should I use when converting pdf to jpg?
Match the destination. 2x produces roughly 144 DPI, plenty for slides shared on a feed or pasted into a doc, while 3x to 4x is worth the extra megabytes for zooming, projection, or print. Going past what the destination can display only inflates the ZIP.
Does the pdf to jpg converter process every page?
Yes, always, and each page becomes its own numbered file in the ZIP. If you only want one slide, either grab its file from the archive or isolate the page first with Extract PDF Pages and convert that smaller PDF.
Why do the exported JPGs have white backgrounds?
JPEG has no transparency channel, so the tool fills each canvas with white before rendering the page. If you need transparent regions preserved, export with PDF to PNG instead; PNG carries alpha and keeps unpainted areas clear.
How is this different from a pdf to image online service that uploads files?
The rendering happens in your browser with pdf.js; the PDF is opened locally and no server ever receives it. That's the safer default for board decks, financial reports, and anything under NDA.
What JPEG quality level do the exported images use?
A fixed 0.92, which keeps gradients and photos clean without ballooning size. There's no quality knob to fiddle with; if the files come out heavier than a platform allows, run them through Image Compressor afterward.
Can a 100 page PDF be turned into JPGs in one go?
Yes, within the 100 MB upload cap. Rendering time grows with page count and scale, and the progress bar shows how far along the run is. For very long documents at 4x, expect a large ZIP and give the browser a moment.
Is JPG or PNG the better image export for a PDF?
JPG wins for photographic pages and anywhere file size matters, like email and social uploads. PNG wins for text-heavy pages, diagrams, and screenshots, where lossy compression smudges sharp edges. The interface is the same either way, so switching costs nothing.
